VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – May 7, 2008 – StarChase LLC today announced the appointments of James Murphy to chief executive officer (CEO) and Sean Sawyer to vice president and chief technical officer of the company.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – May 7, 2008 – StarChase LLC today announced the appointments of James Murphy to chief executive officer (CEO) and Sean Sawyer to vice president and chief technical officer of the company.

Before serving as a consultant to StarChase for the last two years, Murphy was CEO and president of American Safety Razor Company (ASR). Prior to ASR, he was CEO and president of the Personal Care Group, and managing director at Scott Paper for the U.K. and Ireland. Murphy holds a Masters in Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University.

Sawyer co-founded StarChase in 2001 and is one of the technology’s patent holders. He has been active in every aspect of company and product development, with a special focus over the last two years on the commercialization of StarChase’s technology. Prior to StarChase, Sawyer spent eight years with NASCAR as a track promoter for Richmond International Raceway. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University.

“These appointments will allow all members to better focus on their own area of expertise,” said Mandy McCall, chief operating officer, StarChase. “Jim is a welcome addition to our management team. His past experience provides the needed qualifications to lead the group as we draw closer to full commercialization of the Pursuit Management System.”
